Rebecca Nashland

Special Education

Meet Rebecca

Hello! I want to share a few things about myself. I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, attended Holy Family Grade School, and graduated from Eisenhower High School. I attended Eastern Illinois University where I earned my bachelor of science in education in special education and my master of science in education in educational leadership. I have been teaching for 28 years, and for 25 of those completed years, I have been a Maroa Forsyth Trojan! My husband and I live in Forsyth and both of our children graduated from the Maroa Forsyth School system.

My work focuses on students who learn differently and have various levels of abilities. I work with a team of individuals in developing plans that help my students to be successful in the school setting. I implement these plans in my classroom and assist in implementation in the general education classroom. My main goal is to provide an environment where students can learn safely, learn to advocate for themselves and create independence. Please feel free to contact me by email with any questions!
