Meet Melissa
Hello! My name is Melissa Leathers. I currently teach 3rd grade! This is my 12th year with Maroa Forsyth School District. Over the years I have taught the following grades: 2nd grade one year, 3rd grade for 10 years, and 5th grade one year.
I attended Richland Community College for two years and graduated with an Associate Degree in Science. Then, I transferred to Millikin University and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education K-9.
I am married and have two children. Our son Mitchell will be a senior this fall at Warrensburg High School, and our daughter Makayla will be a sophomore. They both keep us very busy by being involved in sports. Mitchell plays football and basketball. Makayla plays volleyball, basketball, and runs track.
In my spare time I love to go camping, shopping, or ride my bike.
