Be involved within the community, plan a fundraiser, learn basic philanthropy, and engage with community leaders!

The Community Foundation of Macon County is excited to launch their re-branded youth philanthropy group this fall. Young Leaders in Action is open to all Macon County Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Students involved in Young Leaders in Action will be involved within the community, plan a fundraiser, learn basic philanthropy, and engage with community leaders. Seniors who are involved have the opportunity to apply for the $2,500 Wiesemann Family Scholarship exclusive to YLIA members. This scholarship’s award criteria is active participation within the group and community.

The application period will be open August 5 through September 7, 2019.
