The RCC Honors Program is an academic program of study specifically designed to motivate and challenge academically gifted students.
Students who are admitted to Honors are offered the following:
- Special Honors-designated course sections, with limited enrollment, taught by highly motivated and engaged faculty
- Transcript Honors designation
- Honors project options
- Honors trips and activities
- Opportunities for leadership and service at Richland Community College
- $1000/semester scholarship
- Phi Theta Kappa admission fee of $75 (one time)
- Only Honors students (those who complete at least three successful semesters in the program) will be encouraged to apply for the Scherer Transfer Scholarship which offers ($5000) if they are transferring to an Illinois Public University or to Millikin University.
