Richland Community College Honors Program

The RCC Honors Program is an academic program of study specifically designed to motivate and challenge academically gifted students.

Students who are admitted to Honors are offered the following:

  • Special Honors-designated course sections, with limited enrollment, taught by highly motivated and engaged faculty
  • Transcript Honors designation
  • Honors project options
  • Honors trips and activities
  • Opportunities for leadership and service at Richland Community College
  • $1000/semester scholarship
  • Phi Theta Kappa admission fee of $75 (one time)
  • Only Honors students (those who complete at least three successful semesters in the program) will be encouraged to apply for the Scherer Transfer Scholarship which offers ($5000) if they are transferring to an Illinois Public University or to Millikin University.
