We are ready to move forward with the dual credit process for the upcoming 2021 – 2022 academic year.
1. Students need to complete the College Admission Information Form at www.richland.edu and click Apply (top right)
Every student interested in taking dual credit next year needs to complete the application even if they are currently taking dual credit or Heartland Tech Courses.
2. Students need to check for a confirmation e-mail – if you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, make sure to check your spam/junk folder.
Your e-mail will contain the students Richland ID number – make sure to keep your Richland ID. Write it in your planner, save it in your phone, take a picture. You will use your Richland ID number for everything!
3. If students have an SAT English score of 480 or an ACT reading and writing score of 19 or higher - then they are eligible for English 101 and would not need to take the placement test.
4. Students who need to take Richland’s placement test will work with Kelly Schoonover to schedule an appointment to take the reading and writing (and/or math if needed) placement test at Richland Community College. Students are required to have an appointment – walk-in’s are not available at this time. Students need to e-mail at kelly@richland.edu.

Fall: April 26 (Fall schedule is not out yet)
Fall RCC English 101 students will also need to schedule an appointment with Kelly Schoonover to register for their dual credit RCC English 101 class after they have their ACT or SAT or Richland Placement Test Results. Students need to e-mail Kelly Schoonover at kelly@richland.edu. Then later on in the fall they will email Kelly again to register for the RCC English 102 class.
Transfer Academy students need to schedule an appointment with Kelly Schoonover to register for classes (Summer/Fall)
