Return to in-person learning

September 27, 2020

Hello Again Trojan Families,

We will return to our In Person Learning plan on Monday, September 28, 2020.

We acknowledge what a pain and inconvenience it was for everyone to have to switch to a Remote Learning day for ALL this past Friday. While it was challenging, I am so proud of our teachers, students, and parents who all stepped up once again to make the day as productive as possible. We remain committed to our In Person Learning plan being implemented, as long as it is safe to do so. The Remote Learning day for ALL on September 25 allowed us to clean and sanitize effectively. It also allowed us the necessary planning time to adjust to the 9 staff who will be in quarantine in the coming weeks. Below are the total numbers from this past week. I want to especially thank our nurse at the Grade School LaRae Robinson and the Macon County Health Department for their coordination efforts in tracking data and making sure we are all safe to reopen to In Person Learning tomorrow. Also, a big thanks goes out to our custodial and maintenance crew for doing all the extra cleaning. Our commitment to the In Person plan is in many ways more like a marathon than a sprint. Please do not be surprised if we have to switch to further Remote Learning for ALL days in the future on short notice.

Take good care,

John
