Maroa Lions Club Scholarship

April 29, 2020

This scholarship was set up by an endowment left on behalf of the Maroa Lions Club in 2020 as a way to honor seniors graduating from Maroa-Forsyth High School and present a financial gift to them for their efforts in the area of community service. Service to this organization has always been a mainstay and priority of our organization, and the creation of this scholarship is to highlight those young leaders in our community who go beyond the normal and serve their communities; locally, regionally, and nationally.

Emphasis will be placed on the service of the individuals; hours, organizations serviced, and scoop of help will all be considered for these candidates.
Recognition of the FFA, FCCLA, or FBLA organizations in the high school are also important components to the applicants record of service in our minds. Our Mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs. We understand that participating in organizations like these are important for a sense of community.

Section 1 is general information, and resume style request of information.
Section 2 is for service related information, as well as a short essay on your personal impact of community service.

Please keep in mind that each student at MFHS is allowed to submit one application. Once you have submitted the form, that is what the committee will evaluate. The deadline is 5/22/20.
