Kaiser Memorial Scholarship

The Kaiser Memorial Scholarship was established by Earlene Leinweber in memory of her parents, Earl and Lena Kaiser.

The recipient of the Kaiser Memorial Scholarship will receive a $2,500 award. The scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable. The award will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient’s college or university. The scholarship is based on community service, career goals, and academic performance. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the MF Scholarship panel.

The Kaiser Scholarship is named in memory of Earlene’s parents, Earl and Lena (Vantries) Kaiser of Maroa. Mr. Kaiser was born in Maroa in 1908 and farmed there until his death in 1995. Mrs. Kaiser was also born in Maroa in 1911 and passed away in 1985. Earlene (Kaiser) Leinweber taught 2 nd grade and kindergarten at Maroa Grade School from 1956 to 1991 and through this memorial scholarship wishes to support the continuing education of MF district students.
