Both teams are headed to state this spring!
Academic Challenge Team
Maroa-Forsyth High School Academic Challenge Team (formerly WYSE) won the division 700 sectional competition at Eastern Illinois University on March 7. They will be competing next at State in April, again at Eastern Illinois University.
In addition, several students received metals including Konstantinos Goros and Gammachu Amae who tied for first in Chemistry, and Reilly Fitzpatrick and Anthony Lee who tied for second in Mathematics.
Math Team
Maroa-Forsyth's math team also won regionals and will head to state in May for the ICTM State Math Contest at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
