Girls Basketball Tournament Information
Meridian would like to welcome you to our inaugural Girls Holiday Basketball Tournament. This being our initial year, I’m sure we will have some glitches to tweak as the tournament progresses.
School Location & Directions
- The address for the Meridian High School is:
728 S. Wall St.
Macon, IL 62544
- Meridian High School is located on Rte. #51 on the south side of Macon. If you are coming from the North or South, exit on Wall Street. Continue on Wall St. until you arrive at the Meridian Campus, which will be on the east side of Wall St. When you arrive at the school, pull in to the driveway on the south side of the buildings.

- All games will be held in the Meridian High School Gymnasium.

First Team listed will be designated as Home Team and will wear white.
Friday, December 14
Game 1 at 6:00 pm: Okaw Valley vs Warrensburg-Latham
Game 2 at 7:30 pm: Meridian vs Maroa-Forsyth
Saturday, December 15
Game 3 at 1:00 pm: Warrensburg-Latham vs Decatur LSA
Game 4 at 2:30 pm: Martinsville vs Maroa-Forsyth
Game 5 at 6:00 pm : Decatur LSA vs Okaw Valley
Game 6 at 7:30 pm: Meridian vs Martinsville
Saturday, December 22
Game 7 at 4:30 pm: 5th Place---3rd “B” vs 3rd “A”
Game 8 at 6:00 pm: 3rd Place---2nd “B” vs 2nd “A”
Game 9 at 7:30 pm: 1st Place---1st “B” vs 1st “A”
Final standings in each pool will be based on the following criteria:
1. Won-Loss Record
2. Head-to-Head Competition
3. Point Differential (20 point cap each game)
4. Free Throw %
There will be first and second place trophies awarded at the conclusion of the Championship game. A 10 member all-tournament team will also be named at this time.
Certified Trainer
Meridian will have a certified trainer from Decatur Memorial Hospital available throughout the tournament.
Admission Prices
- Ticket prices are as follows:
$4.00 per adult
$2.00 per student
$2.00 per Senior Citizen
- Doors will open 45-minutes before the scheduled time of the first game.
