Meet Cassie

Ag Teacher & FFA Advisor

Growing up on a small family farm in Peoria County, agriculture has always been a huge part of daily life. Attending Illinois Central College and finding her niche on the Meats Judging team provided opportunities for real-world learning that could be applied to classroom learning. Transferring to the University of Illinois and continuing on the Meats Judging team provided travel, industry connections, and collegiate networking. Marrying Jeremy and beginning a family in the Maroa Forsyth School District, both are engaged in Agricultural programs around the state.

Transferring to Maroa Forsyth High School during the summer of 2006, was a chance to grow a program that was student-focused and industry-leading with strong aspects of hands-on learning opportunities.

Over the last 18 years, the program has built off her strengths in Floriculture, Animal Science, and Agribusiness the program utilizes industry connections built in central Illinois.

Allowing her students to experience Ag within the classroom, pushing them to try new avenues in Agriculture, and providing the guidance to be successful through FFA are just some of the reasons Mrs. Crouch's department has been successful over the years.

“The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.” Arthur Unknown
